Location: Lucknow shows the signs of fast emerging cities in India when the region has reached Rs.200 crore of export within a small period, which is a substantial growth for Tier II city. Lucknow has also emerged as a "Science City" with numerous national level laboratories, premier medical colleges like SGPGI having focused research in biostatics and health informatics, two universities along with an engineering college and management institute.

Partners: The partners include Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), STPI, AIC STPINEXT, Dept. of IT & Electronics, Govt. of UP, SGPGI, Lucknow, Association of Indian Medical Device Industry (AiMED), and Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ).
Target Beneficiaries: The MedTech intends to support and nurture 50 startups over a period of 5 years.
Duration: The CoE is proposed to be operational for five years from the date of its operation.
Budget & Source of Funding: The total budgetary outlay of this CoE is Rs. 16 crore shared by MeitY (Rs. 3 crore), State Govt (Rs. 10 crore) & STPI (Rs. 3 crore).
