The officials of STPI, MeitY, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, NASSCOM, Highspirit, IIT Bombay, NIC and Industry were present in the meeting and discussed about the National policy on Software Product.

14th edition of Vision Summit 2019 event with the theme “Intelligent Electronics Systems & Automation - Unleashing the $400bn opportunity with focus on different strategies to aim the turnover of $400 billion in domestic electronics consumption by 2025, along with promoting ease-of-doing business for the entire electronic system design and manufacturing or ESDM sector, and to encourage industry-led research, development and innovation.
Dr. Omkar Rai, Director General, STPI and Mr. Anil Kumar, Chairman IESA exchanged Statement of Intent to support tech startups across India during IESA Vision Summit 2019. 

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with Government of Karnataka, organised the fifteenth India Innovation Summit 2019. The theme of the event was “Innovation Manifesto for India”.

IT companies are being recognized by STPI for their performance and contribution to IT industry by awarding them in different categories every year. The awards have been categorized under 10 main categories, covering the entire spectrum of IT, ITES and Electronics & Hardware Exporting Companies. For the year 2018-19, the top performing IT companies in terms of Exports, Employment, Women Employment etc. are awarded during the occasion of STPI IT Export Awards function.

The soft launch of the STPI IoT Open Lab was held at Bengaluru on 3rd Dec 2019 during the IoTNext event, an annual conference organized by IoTForum, IESA (India’s premier Industry body for Electronics & Semiconductors) and TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs), Bengaluru to raise the IoT Quotient of India.

Global Exhibition on Services (GES 2019) is India’s Premier Event for Service Trade Promotion, the 5th edition event is organized by The Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, in partnership with Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (Cll).
Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Govt. of India had a pavilion in this event. STPI Bengaluru supported its incubatees / start up’s to exhibit their products and services under the MeitY pavilion.

STPI had sponsored the conference on “Cyber Security and IoT” event organized by CII.
Dr. Omkar Rai, Director General, STPI appraised about the various initiatives taken for making Tier 2/3 cities as Next Innovation Hub and incentives for startups.

Brazilian Delegation led by Mr. Paulo Alvim, Secretary of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communication, visited STPI-Bengaluru on 30th January 2020. Shri. Shailendra Tyagi, Director, STPI-Bengaluru briefed Brazilian Delegation on various initiatives of STPI including CoEs for promoting IT Industry and innovation, R&D activities of Startups. STPI Bengaluru facilitated incubatees interactive meet with the delegation. The Incubatees briefed their innovative products & Solutions to the Brazilian Delegation.
